Kyle of Lochalsh

Kyle of Lochalsh ( Scottish Gaelic: Caol Loch Aillse ) is a village with about 740 inhabitants ( 2004 estimate ) on the north west coast of Scotland, which has developed in the late 19th century with the arrival of the railway. The town is the terminus of the railway line from Inverness via Dingwall, which is referred to by its goal as Kyle of Lochalsh Line.

Kyle of Lochalsh opposite the Hebridean Isle of Skye at the Skye Bridge, built in 1995. The place is the transport and trade center of the region and has a harbor and marina.

Management of grazing land and more recently salmon farming are some of the activities in Kyle of Lochalsh.
