L'Islet Regional County Municipality

L' Islet is a regional county municipality (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.

It is located in the Chaudière - Appalaches administrative region and consists of 14 subordinate administrative units (a city, ten municipalities and three Sprengel ). The MRC was established on 1 January 1982. The capital is Saint -Jean- Port- Joli. The population is 18,505 and the area of ​​2097.6 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 8.8 inhabitants per km ².
