La Bouche

La Bouche (French for " The Mouth " ) was founded in 1994 and was a successful Euro Dance duo in the 1990s. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Melanie Thornton and rapper Lane McCray Jr. D. The first hit, 1994 "Sweet Dreams", but not rapped Lane, but Robert Haynes, who later at Le Click rapping ( A project in which Melanie the hit " Tonight Is The Night" einsang ). The rap part has been re-recorded by Lane later for the United States. Her debut album Sweet Dreams was released in 1995 and was very successful in Europe, Asia and Canada.

The producer Amir Saraf and Ulli Brenner started the project in 1993 with singer Melanie Thornton of Charleston / South Carolina, USA. With the support of Frank Farian, it became one of the most successful dance duo in Europe ( # 1 in Germany ) and in America ( # 6 in the U.S.) and received seven platinum and eleven gold plates. After 1998, however, the success leveled off and Thornton began planning her solo career. After her exit in 2000, the singer Natascha Wright came about. Yet the successes of previous years would be impossible to adjust except in Japan, where they still had big hits like " SOS " and it stayed with a few new releases. In Finland, La Bouche reached between 1994 and 1999 with each release the Top 20, including " A Moment of Love" 1998 ( 18th place) and " Bolingo / Megamix " 1996 ( 15th place).

Last appeared a Memorial album, plus two unreleased songs from the hits La Bouche and solo successes of Thornton contained that died in a plane crash in Switzerland ( Crossair Flight 3597 ) in November 2001 killed.
