La Forêt-Fouesnant

La Forêt -Fouesnant ( Breton Ar Forest Fouenant ) is a commune in south-west Brittany, in Finistère department 3300 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Location

The place is located in Cornwall, close to the Atlantic coast at the Baie de la Forêt. Quimper is located 13 kilometers north-west, the major city and port of Brest 65 km north-west of Paris and about 480 km to the east (in straight line ).

Infrastructure

In Quimper and ROSPORDEN there are runs on the highway E 60 Brest -Nantes and stations on predominantly parallel regional rail line in the direction of Brest and Nantes. The train station of Brest is the end of TGV Atlantique to Paris. The airports Aéroport de Lorient Bretagne Sud Aéroport de Brest and Lorient in Brittany, near Brest are the closest regional airports.

In the port of La Forêt, called Port-la- Forêt, is the French national training center for long -distance sailing regattas, called Le Pôle France " Finistère Course au Large".

Attractions

At the village Kerléven, southeast of La Forêt the unusual Cairn is of Kerléven.
