La Haute-Gaspésie Regional County Municipality
La Haute- Gaspésie (before May 27, 2000 Denis- Riverin ) is a regional county municipality (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.
It is located in the administrative region of Gaspésie- Îles- de -la -Madeleine and consists of ten subordinate administrative units (two cities, four towns, two villages and two unincorporated areas). The MRC was founded on 18 March 1981, is the main town of Sainte -Anne -des- Monts. The population is 11,870 and the area of 5050.5 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 2.4 inhabitants per km ².
