La Trinité-de-Réville

La Trinite -de- Reville is a commune with 255 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Eure in the Haute-Normandie region.

Geography

La Trinite -de- Reville is located in northern France in the Pays d' Ouche in the southwest corner of the department of Eure at the confluence of Charentonne and Guiel, 64 kilometers southeast of Le Havre 14.2 km south west of Bernay, headquarters of the sub-prefecture of the arrondissements, and 4.4 kilometers southwest of Broglie, the capital of the canton and the Association of Municipalities canton de Broglie, at an average altitude of 176 meters above sea level. The Mairie stands at a height of 186 meters. Neighboring communities of La Trinite -de- Reville are La Chapelle -Gauthier in the northwest, Chamblac in the Northeast, Saint- Agnan -de- Cernières in the south and Montreuil- l'Argillé in the southwest. The municipality has an area of 1115 hectares.

The municipality is one of the type Cfb climate zone ( Köppen and Geiger after ) assigned: Warm Temperate rain climate ( C ), fully wet ( f), the warmest month below 22 ° C, at least four months above 10 ° C ( b). There is a maritime climate with moderate summer.

History

The ancient way of Bernay Saint- Evroult -Notre -Dame- du- Bois ran through the municipality of La Trinite -de- Reville. According to Auguste Le Prévost also undated slags and residues were found of buildings, therefore there must have been forging in place. In 1050 the village was first mentioned in documents as Roilvilla. Ernest Nègre lists the city name as "non- Roman ", citing Marie -Thérèse Morlet. Originally called the town Reville. 1793 received Reville in the wake of the French Revolution ( 1789-1799 ) the status of a municipality and 1801 by the administrative reform under Napoleon Bonaparte the right to local self-government. 1842, the former municipality of La Trinité- Menil - Josselin was incorporated and changed the name of locality to La Trinité -de- Reville.

In the German - French War (1870-1871) the Maréchal des logis -chef of the gendarmerie was national shot on 20 January 1871 by German soldiers of a vanguard in the vicinity of the church.

Culture and sights

La Trinite -de- Reville belongs to the Roman Catholic community Communauté du Pays d' Ouche that part of the parish Lieuvin Sud et Pays d' Ouche is of the diocese of Evreux. The Church of the Trinity -en- Ouche is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. On nave an outer wall from the 15th century is obtained, which shows a checkerboard pattern of dark flint and light sandstone. The municipal area controlled designation of origin (AOC ) for Pont -l'Évêque cheese, Calvados, Normandy and pommeau de Camembert de Normandie and protected geographical indications ( PGI ) for Pork ( Porc de Normandie), poultry ( Volailles de Normandie) and cider are ( Cidre de Normandie and cider normand ).
