Lac-Saint-Jean-Est Regional County Municipality
Lac -Saint -Jean -Est is a regional county municipality (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.
It is located in the administrative region of Saguenay -Lac -Saint -Jean and consists of 18 subordinate administrative units ( three cities, nine municipalities, a village, a parish, and four unincorporated areas). The MRC was established on 1 January 1982. The main town is Alma. Its population is 51 885 and the surface 2771.1 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 18.7 inhabitants per km ².
