Ladislav Å korpil

Ladislav Škorpil ( born June 6, 1945 in Hradec Králové, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czechoslovak football player and current coach.

Playing career

Ladislav Škorpil played from 1955 to 1964 and again from 1966 to 1968 at RH Hradec Králové. Between 1964 and 1966, his military service, he played for Dukla Žamberk.

Coaching career

With only 23 years Škorpil ended his playing career and began the season 1969/70 as C- and D- youth coach at Spartak Hradec Králové. From 1970 he was responsible for the A- and B- youth of the club, with which he could win the 1981 Czech Cup.

From 1982 to 1990 Škorpil also worked as a youth coach at the Czechoslovakian national team. In 1986, he was with Czech Hradec Králové A Youth Champion. In the final of the Czechoslovak championship, the team defeated the Slovakian champions 1.FC Tatran Prešov.

Although he once said to never want to work in the adult area, he took over in the second half 1990/91 First Team of Hradec Králové in the first league. 1993/94 he went to Slovakia to DAC Dunajská Streda. He then coached the 1994/95 again the youth of the SK Hradec Králové. Between 1995 and 1997 he worked for Dukla Prague, which he led from the third back in the first league. 1997/98 he returned for one season after Dunajská Streda. 1998/99 he was until 9 Matchday coach again in Hradec Králové. Before the 16th Round, he was obliged Slovan Liberec, with whom he was in 2000 and 2002 Cup Winners surprisingly won the Czech championship. On 31 January 2004, he agreed with Slovan to terminate the contract and took over on 1 February, the Czech U- 21 team. In October 2007, he returned to his old club Slovan Liberec back as successor to the sacked coach Michal Zach.
