Lady Musgrave Island

The Lady Musgrave Island is a 0.275 km ² large, uninhabited coral island. It is part of the Australian state of Queensland, and is located on the eastern coast of the Australian continent and is the most southerly island of the Bunker Group with the still more southern Lady Elliot Island, the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.

History

The island was named after the wife of Sir Anthony Musgrave. In 1938, half of the island has been declared a national park until finally the rest of this included in 1967.
