Laetitia Casta

Laetitia Maria Laure Casta ( born May 11, 1978 in Pont- Audemer, France) is a French model and actress.

Life and career

Laetitia Casta spent her childhood in Normandy. She attended with her parents frequently Corsica, where her father, Dominique Casta comes. There, she was "discovered" at age 15 by a photographer of the Paris agency Madison Models. She became internationally known with a cover image for the magazine "Elle". Since the late 1990s, Casta has been active as an actress. For her portrayal of Brigitte Bardot in the biopic Gainsbourg - The Man Who Loved Women (2010), she received a César Award nomination in 2011.

1999 Casta was chosen by the French mayors as a model for the " Marianne " busts the next decade. Predecessor since 1989, was the model Inès de la Fressange. On 18 October 2001 Laetitia Casta gave birth to a daughter. The father is Stéphane Sednaoui. On 22 September 2006, her son was born, and on 29 August 2009, another daughter. Father of both children is the Italian actor Stefano Accorsi.

Casta is patron of the 2nd Parachute Regiment of the Foreign Legion.

In 2012 she was appointed to the jury of the 69th International Film Festival of Venice.
