Lagoa Vermelha is a town with 28,230 inhabitants in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. It is located about 320 km north of Porto Alegre. Adjacent are the following places: in the north of Santo Expedito do Sul and Tupanci do Sul, in the northeast of Esmeralda, in the east Capão Bonito do Sul, in the southeast Muitos Capões, in the south André da Rocha and the west Sananduva, Caseiros, Ibiraiaras, São Jorge and Guabiju. Originally Lagoa Vermelha was part of Munizips Vacaria.
