History

The Pelicans were founded in 1996, but existed before under several other names. It started the history of the club in 1891, when the Viipurin Reipas were founded. In 1950, these named to in Lahti Reipas. In 1975, she named herself again, this time in Kiekko - Reipas. From 1989 to 1992 they played under the name Hockey Reipas. Then they carried the name Reipas Lahti by the year 1996., But also the many name changes did not lead to success. So far, the Pelicans could win neither gold, silver, or bronze medal at the Finnish SM- liiga championship.
