Laila Majnu ( in Arabic: مجنون و ليلى ( Majnun and Layla ) or قيس وليلى ( Qays and Layla ), in Persian: لیلی و مجنون ( Leyli o Majnun ) ) is a Bollywood adaptation of the most famous oriental love story of Laila Majnun. The lovers are played by Rishi Kapoor and Ranjeeta Kaur.

Action

Arabia, a very long time ... Laila and Kaish before since childhood combines a very deep and extraordinary friendship. As Kaish at school always brings her name on paper to give rather than the words of the teacher's attention, even immediately follows the punishment. With a stick, the teacher will have the right path of Allah him. But lo and behold, not only Kaish suffers but also his Laila, whose palms begin to bleed.

Kaish ' father recognizes this divine connection and asks Emir, Laila's father, while his arch enemy to peace of the children's sake. But Emir heart is like a stone and prohibits all contact between the children.

Years later, the love finds its way unperturbed - Laila and Kaish meet at a fairground and then immediately blazes her deep love again.

This remains undetected Emir recognizes that the son of his arch-enemy woos his daughter. Together with his son Tabrej they fight against this relationship. Laila begs her father and leaves his heart still soften. But at the same time takes a great misfortune. Tabrej kills Kaish ' father, which Kaish is taking vengeance on Tabrej and hits him in the fight - and so draws the ire of the entire clan up. Kaish is banished to the desert; Laila is married to Tabrejs childhood friend Prince Bhakshi.

In the desert Kaish is crazy in love for his Laila and idolized her in his poems and songs, which are finally heard from all lips. Because of this, he is known only as " Majnu " (Arabic: " The madman ").

Even Prince Bhakshi hears of it and promises not to touch and Laila met this extraordinary love with great respect. But Bhakshis enemies kidnap Laila in the desert. As she tries to escape, she is seriously injured. In Majnus arms she finally lets out her last breath. Majnu can not bear this suffering and dies shortly thereafter. Only death can save them from the suffering, so that they are united in heaven.
