Lajos Abafi

Ludwig Aigner, Hungarian Lajos Abafi ( born February 11, 1840 in Grossjetscha, Empire Austria, † June 19, 1909 in Budapest, Kingdom of Hungary ) was a hungary German literary historian, publisher, author, translator and scientist, author of numerous aesthetic and ethnographic works.

Life

Born the son of noble parents, Aigner attended from 1850 to 1853, the trade school in Timisoara and was subsequently to 1857 there in a bookstore as an apprentice working. As a private student at a high school in Timisoara he learned the Latin language. Between 1858 and 1860 he was at the bookstore by Josef Schwaiger in Bratislava operates from 1860 in the bookstore Ferdinand Pfeifer in Budapest, in Leipzig in 1863 and in November of the same year to 16 March 1865 the Cologne bookseller William Greven, then at Julius manner in Stuttgart.
