Lake Elsinore
The Lake Elsinore is a natural freshwater lake in Riverside County in the U.S. state of California, on the edge of the Santa Ana Mountains. Its most important tributary is the San Jacinto River.
The lake was originally named by the Spanish conquistadors Laguna Grande, before he was named after the town of Elsinore bank as Lake Elsinore. The city, in turn, is today named as Lake Elsinore even after the lake.
Geography
The Lake Elsinore is the largest freshwater lake in Southern California. It is the lowest place in the 1900 km ² large catchment area of the San Jacinto River, which flows into Lake Elsinore.

Limnology
