Lake Vermilion

The Lake Vermilion ( Vermilion also Lake ) is a lake located in the U.S. state of Minnesota and about 26 kilometers west of Ely.

The lake has an area of 159 km ² and a length of 39 km. In the lake there are 365 islands. In the 1940s, he was selected by the National Geographic Society, one of the ten most scenic lakes in the United States.

Lake Vermilion, located in the heart of Minnesota's " Arrowhead region", is an important fishing area.
