Lakeland Prowlers
The Lakeland Ice Warriors were an American ice hockey franchise in the Sunshine Hockey League from Lakeland, Florida.
History
The franchise took to the 1992/93 season under the name Lakeland Ice Warriors as one of five founding members of the operation of gambling in the Sunshine Hockey League on. In this, the Ice Warriors never got beyond the first playoff round. For the 1995/96 season, the Ice Warriors changed their name to Lakeland Prowlers and also the league changed its name to Southern Hockey League. After the season, was eliminated in Lakeland for the third time in four years in the first playoff round and the first time after the regular season won the first place in the table, the Southern Hockey League was dissolved and the team from Lakeland ceased the operation of gambling.
Only in the 2003/04 season playing with the Lakeland Loggerheads from the World Hockey Association 2 again a professional ice hockey team in Lakeland.
