Geographical location

The Langfast is located in the southern Harz on the border of the Harz National Park, the Harz nature park between Lonau in the west and in the east Sieber; both of which are districts of Herzberg am Harz. He rises as withdrawing from the field to the south ridge which forms the watershed between the Big Lonau in the West as well as gold sink in the east and Sieber in the southeast. The Langfast is forested in the deeper layers of beech and spruce at higher elevations with.
