The gold sink is a 4 km long tributary of the Sieber, Sieber north of the village in the district of Osterode am Harz in Lower Saxony. It rises to 800 meters above sea level near the Hanskühnenburg the range of hills " On the field ", in the " Goldenkerklippe " usually flows in a southerly direction and empties into the place Sieber in the Sieber.
