Langues d'oïl
Langues d' oïl distribution area is Northern France ( Gallo et al ), the islands in the English Channel, Belgium ( Walloon language) and in the northwest of Switzerland. The modern French has evolved from a variant of the Langue d' oïl of space Paris, the franzi dialect, which is called Francia in French, developed.
The languages are as follows:
- Berrichon ( Berry )
- Bourguignon- morvandiau ( Burgundy region, Bourgogne )
- Champenois ( Frankish zone, Champagne),
- Franc- Comtois ( Burgundy region, Franche -Comté )
- Gallo ( Armorican zone)
- Lorrain (Lorraine ),
- Normand ( Frankish and Armorican zone) Anglo-Norman (now extinct language of the English nobility in the Middle Ages ) Auregnais ( Alderney )
- Jèrriais ( Jersey, threatened with extinction )
- Sercquiais ( Sark )
For the central zone of the Oïl languages include the following areas: Ile- de -France, Orléans, Touraine, Ouest de la Champagne, Berry and Bourbonnais.
