Lansford Spence

Lansford Spence (born 15 December 1982, Hanover Parish ) is a Jamaican sprinter. He won in two world championships bronze in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

At the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo in 2003, he won with Michael Campbell, Sanjay Ayre and Davian Clarke the title in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005, he won a bronze medal in the relay. Together with Sanjay Ayre, Brandon Simpson and Davian Clarke he had to give only beaten the squadrons of the United States and the Bahamas in 2:58,07 min. Spence started in Helsinki in the 400 -meter run, but bowed out of. In 2006 he won a bronze medal in the relay at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. In addition, he finished there about 400 meters to eighth place.

In 2008 he joined the squadron at the Olympic Games in Beijing. This qualified as a total fourth-fastest team in the qualifying round for the finals, finished there, however, only the eighth and last place.

2009 Spence was tested positive at the Jamaican championships on methylxanthine and then locked for doping for three months. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi Spence won in a personal best of 20.49 s the silver medal in the 200 -meter run. Another silver medal he won in the 4 x 100 - meter relay.

At the World Championships 2011 Spence has been used in the flow of the Jamaican 4 x 400 -meter relay bronze. Shortly after, he won the silver medal over 200 meters at the Pan American Games.
