Laodice (sister-wife of Mithridates IV of Pontus)

Laodike Philadelphus was a daughter of Mithridates III. of Pontus and married her brother Mithridates IV of Pontus (reigned 169-150 BC). Laodice is known only through inscriptions their wedding coins as well as by an inscription, which have their set Delier. Whether Laodike Philadelphus is equated with a "Queen Laodice ," whose portrait and name was coined alone (without her husband ) to other coins of Pontus, is uncertain.
