Larissa Diadkova

Larissa Ivanovna Djadkowa (Russian Лариса Ивановна Дядькова; born March 9, 1952 in Selenodolsk ) is a Russian opera singer.

The mezzo-soprano and contralto received her vocal training at the Leningrad Conservatory and in 1978 was hired by the Kirov Theatre. In 1984 she won the Glinka song contest. After Leningrad was renamed St. Petersburg and the Kirov Theatre after the fall of the Soviet Union back in the Mariinsky Theater, artistic director and conductor Valery Gergiev took the ensemble on tour around the world. In addition to Anna Netrebko then also received Larissa Djadkowa numerous engagements in leading opera houses around the world. In 1996 she made ​​her debut at the Metropolitan Opera and has since been a regular guest of the Opera in New York.
