Larry Eustachy

Larry Eustachy ( born December 1, 1955 in Alameda, California) is an American basketball coach and is currently working at the University of Southern Mississippi. In 2000, he was honored by the Associated Press as a college coach of the year.

Coaching career

After working in Idaho ( 61 wins, 33 defeats) and Utah State (98 wins, 53 defeats, participation in the NCAA Tournament in 1998 ) moved Eustachy in summer 1998 at the Iowa State University. There he inherited Tim Floyd, who joined the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. In his first season, Eustachy missed the finals. However, in the 1999/2000 season he won with his team not only the Big 12 Conference, but reached the NCAA Tournament and the round of eight.
