Larry Heard

Larry Heard ( born May 31, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American musician and influential representatives of the Chicago House.

Curriculum vitae

Born in the south of Chicago, Heard grew up with jazz and Motown. He could play several instruments. Before he started his solo career in 1983 he was a member of the groups Infinity ( a jazz -fusion cover group) and Manhattan Transfer. He also worked for the U.S. government as an agent for charitable projects and was able to buy his first studio equipement.

In the 1980s, he produced several influential house tracks that become classics of the genre were later, including Can You Feel It, Bring Down the Walls (featuring Robert Owens ), Mystery of Love, Washing Machine, Donnie (as ' The It ' ), Closer and What About This Love.

He is a mentor of other successful artists such as Son Dexter, whose label alleviated Records released some titles of Heard. Many of his titles have been published under various pseudonyms, including finger, Inc., Mr. Fingers, Loose Fingers, House Factors or Trio Zero. Heard was also part of the duo The it.
