Larry Livermore

Lawrence " Larry " Livermore ( born October 28, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan ) is an American musician, music producer and music journalist.

Life

1984 Livermore began to tell in the book edited by him Lookout magazine about the punk scene in California. A year later he founded together with Tré Cool and Kain Kong The Lookouts, a punk band that existed up to the year 1990.

In 1987 he founded together with his David Hayes, the label Lookout! Records, in which, among other things, Operation Ivy ( band ) Rancid and Green Day were under contract. 1997 Livermore sold the record company.

In his work as a music journalist wrote, among other things, from 1987 to 1994 for Maximum Rocknroll and 1994-2007 for Punk Planet. Since 2008 he has published in the magazine Verbicide.

Currently Livermore lives in Brooklyn, a borough of New York.
