Operation Ivy (Band)
Operation Ivy was a ska punk band from California (USA).
It consisted 1987-1989 from the members Dave Mello, Jesse Michaels, Tim Armstrong also known as " Lint " and Matt Freeman. Their roots are in Oakland, California near San Francisco, then a melting pot of punk music. Operation Ivy count by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones of the first bands that combined the genres of ska and punk together. The lyrics are often influenced politically, with the handling of punks and skinheads with each other plays a role.

Shortly after the publication of the first and only studio album ( " Energy", released on Lookout!
