Lars Hedén

Lars Allan Hedén ( born September 4, 1934) is a Swedish former football player and coach.

Career

Hedén grew up in Vänersborg and was active in various sports. He has appeared for the Vänersborgs BTK as a table tennis player, for KFUM Trollhättan as a handball player and for Vänersborgs IF as bandy and football players. The mid-1950s he was the person in charge of the football team AIK on in a preseason game, so he joined the club in the summer of 1955. However, in the Allsvenskan, he debuted in the summer of the following year, in the season 1956/57 he played on the side of Kurt Liander, Jörgen Ekengren, Leif Skjold, Göran Aslin and Björn Anlert nine top-flight appearances and scoring two goals. In addition to his football career, he studied at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

In the summer of 1957 Hedén returned to his hometown club Vänersborgs IF. 1960 he moved to Borås professionally, where he found employment with the Gatukontoret. Accordingly, he joined the club and in early 1960 joined the second division Norrby IF at, for which he ran aground until 1968. Between 1964 and 1967 he played mediocre with the club until the resurgence. After a flying visit to Vänersborgs IF 1969 he returned to the now Norrby IF back as player-coach, with whom he descended from the second division in 1970. In 1972 he ended his active career and was parallel to his job at Gatukontoret in the following years worked at various clubs as full-time coach.

First Hedén took over in 1973 the first division side IF Elfsborg, who had risen from the second division. Under a management team ranked matches, as Leif Malberg, Bengt Andersen, Thomas Ahlström, Leif Gustavsson and Christer Hellqvist places in the mid table area. In 1976, he returned to his early second division Norrby IF, after two seasons, he moved within the Südstaffel the second division club GAIS Gothenburg on to. In 1980 he took over the Grimsås IF, 1982, he returned to IF Elfsborg. Here he was responsible for the team's formation until 1984, parallel he worked temporarily as a supervisor of the B team of Svenska Fotbollförbundet.
