Lars-Magnus Lindgren

Lars- Magnus Lindgren, actually Lars Magnus Lindgren ( born July 23, 1922 in Västerås, † 23 November 2004 in Nacka ), was a Swedish director and screenwriter.

Biography

Lindgren graduated after finishing school to study engineering. Then he started with the Swedish group Sandrews to work, where he was entrusted with the production of advertising films and produced so about 30 short films. His debut as a director in the film industry he had in 1957 with En drömmares vandring, a film adaptation of the biography of the writer Dan Andersson. For this he was subsequently awarded i by the Swedish weekly magazine Folket image with the encouragement Price ( Uppmuntringspris ).

His film from 1964 Dear John ( John Kære ) was nominated for the Oscar 1966 in the category Best Foreign Language Film. His other famous works included the film Svarta palmkronor of 1968, based on the story of the writer Peder Sjögren 1944. After some major ups and downs and successes in his career, he heard finally with his work on the film production. His last screenplay was written by Lindgren to the Lejonet och Maiden, where he also led the Director and in 1980 he was kuling for the last time as a director on the television film Styv active.

Family

Lars- Magnus Lindgren was the son of Soviet representatives in Sweden and engineer Edvin Lindgren and the brother of actor Peter Lindgren and the uncle of actress Monica Nielsen.

Lars- Magnus Lindgren was married three times, first with Kerstin Lindgren (1927-2008) with the had two children together. In his second marriage he was with the Swedish fashion designer and model Gunilla Pontén ( born 1929 ) married to who had a daughter. After the divorce of the marriage, married for the third time Vibeke Lindgren ( b. 1936 ), with whom he had a son together, and in turn, is married to the writer Mariette glodeck.
