Laser 4000

The Laser 4000 is a racing sailing dinghy from the family of laser class. The Laser 4000 is sailed by two people. It is a unit class ( One Design ), where no structural changes may be made.

By equipping with gennaker and trapeze deployed the Laser 4000 its strength especially on downwind.

Counterbalance

On regattas lighter sailing crews need to take on board ballast weights that are attached to the center of the fuselage. The result is lighter crews of disadvantage that their ( already reduced) the net weight when riding - to compensate for the heel - may be less effective. To compensate for this disadvantage, 4000 lighter crews may fix the Ausreitaufbauten further outward, causing the lower weight can be compensated for by the lever principle with the laser. These structural and technical measure can be found in more and more new dinghy classes.
