Laurie Johnson

Laurie Johnson ( born February 7, 1927 as Lawrence Reginald Ward Johnson in Hampstead ) is an English film composer.

Life

Johnson gained greater fame through the theme music to the successful television series in Germany, The Avengers and The melon and professionals. Especially with The Avengers and melon Laurie Johnson composed countless adapted to the respective consequences, varying themes. His works include film scores for more than a hundred films and television series.

Johnson's trademark was the connection orchestral sounds, especially string instruments with modern instruments in the relevant time, such as the wah-wah guitar, which was especially popular in the 1970s.
