Since it is repeatedly crossed from private, it corresponds technically a rail; in the downtown area as well as in Malley three stations are underground, the other lie on the surface. Originally was called the m1 Tramway du sud ouest lausannois ( TSOL ); many users of the line they call still TSOL.

Metro Lausanne ( line m2)

The line opened in September 2008 m2 of Ouchy to Epalinges, however, is an almost completely running in tunnels underground and the first of its kind in Switzerland. It arose from the conversion of the gear train Lausanne- Ouchy and the extension to the north.
