Lauterbach is the most important tributary of Schiltach. It rises in the municipality of Lauterbach below the Fohrenbühls and moss forest head and flows approximately 8 km Schramberg below the Bruck Becks in the Schiltach. The amount of distance from the source to the confluence with the Schiltach is approximately 340 m.
