Lavenham

Lavenham is a market town with 1738 inhabitants in Suffolk, part of East Anglia, the British peninsula between the Thames Estuary in the south and The Wash in the north.

The place is known for its half-timbered architecture and for his perfect 1530 magnificent late-Gothic parish church. This originated as well as the Guild of the wool merchants in the Tudor period, as the place was like the whole region through the wool trade to great prosperity. Since it was financed with revenues from this trade, the Church is also counted among the Wool Churches.
