Lawrence East (TTC)

Lawrence East is a subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Scarborough RT, the Toronto Subway, at the Lawrence Avenue between Kennedy Road and Midland Avenue. The station, which has ground-level side platforms, is used daily by an average of 7220 passengers (2009 /10).

There is a transfer possibility to a bus line that runs on the bridge over the station. Furthermore, the commuters is a park -and-ride with 90 parking spaces available. The opening of the station on 24 March 1985 along with the entire Scarborough RT between Kennedy and McCowan. The track follows in this section of the route of the Canadian National Railway. As part of the road project Transit City who served with linear motor trains line to be converted into a rail and extended beyond McCowan addition.
