Laz, Finistère

Laz ( Laz Breton ) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in the west with 693 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Location

The place is located about 32 km east of the Atlantic coast near the river Alder and the edge of the ridge Montagnes Noires. Quimper is situated 25 km south-west, the major city and port of Brest 55 km north-west of Paris and about 470 km to the east (in straight line ).

Infrastructure

In Châteaulin, Briec and ROSPORDEN there are runs on the highway E 60 Brest- Nantes. In Châteaulin, Quimper and ROSPORDEN regional train services stop at the railway line Brest -Nantes and the train station of Brest is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris. Near the city of Brest in Guipavas is the regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne.
