Lazarus Salii

Lazarus Salii ( born November 17 1935 † August 20, 1988 in Koror ) was a politician palauischer.

On October 25, 1985 Salii Alfonso Oiterong inherited in the office of the President of the then not yet independent state of Palau. Before the end of his term - he had been elected for four years - died Salii on August 20, 1988 in Koror, the largest city of the state of Palau, from suicide. Until the election of a successor Thomas Remengesau led the official business further, as he had previously done after the assassination Haruo Remeliiks three years for three days. On 1 January 1989 Ngiratkel Etpison took over the presidency.
