Kuniwo Nakamura

Kuniwo Nakamura ( born 1943 ) is a politician palauischer with Japanese roots.

Prior to his tenure as President of Palau, he had held the office of Vice-President of the island nation from 1988 to 1993, ie a period of office held. From 1993 to 2001 he ruled the country as head of state until he resigned his appointment on 1 January 2001 in favor of his successor Tommy Remengesau.

Nakamura is the son of Japanese immigrants.
