Haruo Remeliik

Haruo Remeliik (* June 1, 1933; † 30 June 1985) was a politician palauischer with Japanese roots.

On May 1, 1970 Remeliik was sworn in as Deputy District Administrator for the Palau. Nearly eleven years later, on March 2, 1981 Remeliik was appointed the first head of state of the island nation of Palau. After he was assassinated on June 30, 1985, Thomas inherited it Remengesau Sr. as acting in his office until Lazarus Salii by an election victory in September of the same year, the new head of state of Palau was.

Remeliik was buried in Kloulklubed in his home state of Peleliu.
