Lazy Jones

Lazy Jones is a computer game classics by David Whittaker / terminal software from the year 1984. It appeared for C64, MSX and ZX Spectrum.

Description

Lazy Jones consists of 14 mini-games. The character is portrayed as lazy hotel employee, who prefers to play video games, instead of pursuing his work. Hide this Computer Games, perceived by the player as mini-games behind different doors within a three-story hotel. Touch the character one of two people or a cleaning carts that move in the corridors of the hotel, the player loses a life. In one part of the mini-games, it is also possible to lose life. Were all rooms enter once the game starts from the beginning. However, the enemies will move faster.

The theme song of the game consists partly of replicas of famous pieces of music of the 1980s. It uses, for example, 99 Luftballons by Nena and Fade To Grey by Visage. A self-composed by Whittaker tune that the sub- game Star Dust, was covered by Florian Senfter (aka John Starlight ) under the project name in the song Zombie Nation Kernkraft 400. This cover version in 1999 was a hit in the club scene and is now considered one of the most successful songs electronic instrumental music at all.
