Le Chat Noir ( The Black Cat dt ) was from 1881 to 1897 a popular Parisian cabaret in Montmartre, which was founded by Rodolphe Salis.

Le Chat Noir was a meeting point for many chanson singers, artists, writers and actors in the fin de siècle and became an epitome of bohemian Paris.
