Le Conquet

Le Conquet ( Breton Konk Leon ) is a commune with 2688 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the north- west of Brittany in the département of Finistère.

Location

The municipality is located directly on the Atlantic coast of the Côte des Abers. Brest is situated 20 kilometers east of Paris and about 520 kilometers east (in straight line ).

Le Conquet is a resort with a small fishing and ferry port. From here is the season a ferry service to the islands Molène and Ushant. After Brest is a regular bus service. In Brest the European route end 50 (Brest - Rennes) and the European Route 60 (Brest -Nantes ). The train station of Brest is the end of TGV Atlantique to Paris as well as the regional train lines in the direction of Rennes and Nantes. Close to the capital city of Brest is the regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne.

Attractions

In addition to some interesting churches and chapels from the last centuries, the small harbor and the townscape prägendem lighthouse, the two are from the mid-19th century, originating forts Fort Saint -Louis and Fort de l' ILETTE de Kermorvan the main attractions of the tourist good developed resort.
