Le Orme

Le Orme ( The footprints ) is an Italian progressive rock band.

Band History

The band was founded in 1966 in Marghera. First they played beat music, it followed from about 1970 a psychedelic phase. In the subsequent orientation towards progressive rock, Le Orme left, now as a trio without guitar, inspired by Emerson, Lake and Palmer. As a successful and important album this time is Felona e Sorona, which also appeared in an English version.

In the late 1970s and in the 1980s they approached Also popular music. In 1982, the first musicians went their separate ways, but were reunited in 1986 as a band. In the 1990s, Le Orme turned back to the Progressive rock.
