Lectionary 6

Lectionary 6 ( according to the numbering of Gregory -Aland as sigla ℓ 6 ) is an Greek- Arabic Diglot manuscript of the New Testament on paper. It is dated by its colophon to the year 1265 and represents the liturgical order of holy week of the Coptic Church in and around Alexandria.

Description

The Code contains sections from the book of Acts, the Epistles ( Epistle, Apostolos ), the Psalms, and some pericopes of the Gospels ( Evangelistarium ). , More precisely, liturgical reading pieces from Palm Sunday to Saturday after the resurrection. It was in Greek lowercase ( minuscule ) to 275 sheets of paper (19 cm × 13.5 cm) described. Each page contains two columns with 18 lines.

The manuscript was examined by Wettstein and Dermount. The true liturgy historical classification succeeded Anton Baumstark 1913.

The Code is now in the Leiden University Library ( Or 243) in Leiden.
