Lee Mears

Andrew Lee Mears ( born March 5, 1979 in Torquay ) is an English rugby union player. He plays as a hooker for the English national team and Bath Rugby.

Mears started his professional career in 1998 at Bath. He went through numerous youth teams of England and played for England A in the Churchill Cup. So he was in 1997 as a school choice that could end a tour to Australia unbeaten. For the former team also included the present-day national player Jonny Wilkinson, Steve Borthwick and Andrew Sheridan. His debut for the national team, he was in 2005 against Samoa. He was in the squad of England at the 2007 World Championships and came to use one. With the Six Nations 2008 he released Mark Regan from as regulars in the national jersey.

In 2009 he was nominated by Ian McGeechan for the tour of the British and Irish Lions to South Africa. It was used in the first game of the series.
