Lee Wallace

Lee Wallace ( born August 1, 1987 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish football player. The defender plays on the left side, but is also often found in the left midfield.

Career

Wallace moved in July 2004 from the youth team of Hearts into the professional team. In the following season 2004/ 05 he completed his debut in the match against FC Kilmarnock in the Scottish FA Cup. He was in his first season became an integral part of the first team after he was Takis Fyssas displace.

In the summer of 2006, rumors, Wallace would move to Dundee United. The change did not come to conditions and Wallace was becoming a regular player. On 1 May 2009 he extended his contract until 2012. He is now vice-captain of the team after Michael Stewart has left the club.

In a qualifying match for EURO 2012 Football Championship against Liechtenstein, he was very badly injured knee. The first tests showed that he would have to pause the complete SPL season 2010 /2011.

In summer 2011, Wallace signed a contract for 5 years at the Glasgow Rangers.

National

Wallace was part of the Scottish youth teams U- 19 to U- 21st In U-19 Football Championship in 2006, he played with the Scottish team in the final, where they lost to Spain. It was used in every game of the tournament.

His first cap for the Scottish national football team, he played in October 2009 against Japan in Yokohama.

Private

In August 2006, Wallace was charged with a firearms offense. Three months later, he admitted to be in possession of an air rifle and was sentenced to a street of £ 1.500. In May 2009 he was arrested for trespassing at a nightclub in Edinburgh. He had allegedly threatened to shoot the doorman. However, this charge was later dropped and Wallace was sentenced to a fine of £ 1,100 for offenses against the security guards.
