Legion is the second studio album by American death metal band Deicide. It was released in April 1992 on the label Roadrunner Records.

Background

The album has one for the Death Metal genre unusually short running time of 29 minutes. This feature also marked the debut album by the band, released two years earlier. In the press, the album was first announced under the title The Calling. The singer and bassist of the band, Glen Benton, attended with his threat for attention, he would have his newly born son to sacrifice to Satan, if the album reach no significant sales.

Singer and bassist Benton claimed that the album was ahead of its time and that time for the listeners too fast.
