Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information

The Leibniz - Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID ) is a nationwide technical information center. Its main task is for the subject of psychology to document important publications and other information from the German-speaking world and to communicate on a national and international level. It is a member of the Leibniz Association.

History

1963 suggested Wolfgang Metzger and M. Cremer to the establishment of an appropriate center. 1967 C. Graf Hoyos presented a plan study " Psychological documentation " before and after preparatory work of a Commission established in 1967 was taken in the spring of 1970 by the German Society for Psychology of the decision to establish. It was founded in 1971 as ZPID project at the University of Trier by Günther Reinert. Since 1988 it is listed as "central scientific institution " of the University of Trier. ZPID is a member of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz ( WGL).

ZPID is funded by the federal government (Ministry of Health) and by the countries ( country of domicile of Rhineland -Palatinate).

Products and services

The main product of ZPID is the PSYNDEX database segments PSYNDEX Literature & AV and PSYNDEX tests. PSYNDEX is a specialized database for psychology, which contains evidence for more than 200,000 documents from the German-speaking countries ( Germany, Austria, Switzerland ). Be demonstrated articles from journals, books, compilation contributions, dissertations, audio-visual media and test procedures.
