Leif Hoste

Belgian time trial champion in 2001, 2007 Three Days of De Panne 2006

Leif Hoste ( born July 17, 1977 in Kortrijk ) is a former Belgian cyclist.

Career

He is regarded as a strong time trialist and a specialist in cobbled races such as the Tour of Flanders. Since 1998 he has been a professional. As a young rider Hoste 1997 Omloop Het Volk won for U23 riders. He was then at the 1998 cycling team Vlaanderen 2002 - Eddy Merckx professional. Before joining Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team 2005, he also drove for Mapei -Quick Step, Domo - Farm Frites and Lotto Domo. In 2000 he won a stage of the Tour de la Région Wallonne. In the newly introduced Eneco Tour 2005, he was third in the overall standings. 2011 moved to Hoste Russian ProTeam Katusha.

End of the 2012 season, he finished his career as a professional cyclist.
