Leipziger BC 1893

The Leipzig BC 1893 is a former German football club from Leipzig- Lindenau, which existed from 1893 to 1945. The club was next to Lipsia Eutritzsch and the Dresden FC One of the oldest football clubs in Saxony. The LBC is one of the founding clubs of the DFB.

Association

The Leipzig BC was founded in 1893 and initially acted in the 1896 championship of the Association introduced Leipzig ball game clubs. Between 1897 and 1899 the LBC the championship of VLBV drove a total of three times, resigned after differences with VfB Leipzig, however prematurely from the Association again.

With the establishment of association means German Ballgame clubs ( VMBV ) was created for the 1901/02 season the Gau Leipzig and North West Saxons, which summarizes the clubs from the Leipzig area, as well as from the neighboring Halle ( Saale) on December 26, 1900 were. During the First World War, the club formed a war sports community with Olympic Leipzig and went until 1918 under the name SG LBC Olympics 1896.
